At St. George’s Girls Secondary School’s 40th anniversary in Nairobi, TSC chair Jamleck Muturi said the commission will advertise over 34,000 promotion vacancies next week and that funds are in place to move 20,000 Junior Secondary tutors onto permanent and pensionable terms, Capital FM reported.
He stacked the announcement on a three-year scoreboard: 100,000 teachers hired and 270,000 already promoted. Motivation, he argued, travels from teacher to learner — a standard claim that only holds if payroll and grade letters actually arrive.
