Editorial Standards & Policy
ZaKenya publishes news summaries, practical guides, and an organisation directory for people who live, work, and do business in Kenya. This page explains how we produce and stand behind that content.
Sourcing and attribution
Our news coverage is compiled and summarised from established, publicly reported Kenyan and international news sources. Every article names the outlets it draws on, and where a claim is contested we attribute it to the party or publication that made it rather than presenting it as settled fact. We do not republish other outlets' articles verbatim; we write original summaries and link readers back to primary reporting wherever possible.
Accuracy and how we handle claims
We aim to report what is known and to be clear about what is not. Allegations are described as allegations, ongoing investigations are described as ongoing, and figures are attributed to their source. Where sources disagree, we say so. We use technology-assisted editorial workflows to produce timely summaries, with source attribution built into every article.
Corrections
If you spot an error, an outdated figure, or a directory contact that has changed, please tell us through our contact page. We review correction requests promptly and update the affected article, noting material changes where appropriate. Accuracy matters more to us than being first.
Images
Some articles use illustrative images created digitally to represent a topic or setting. These are contextual illustrations, not photographs of the specific events, places, or people described in the article. We do not use AI-generated likenesses of named individuals.
Independence
ZaKenya is independent of the government bodies, businesses, and organisations it reports on and lists. Directory phone numbers and addresses are drawn from official public sources; always confirm details with the organisation directly before you rely on them.
