Gor Mahia Clinch Record 22nd League Title With Five-Point Margin
Gor Mahia FC have been crowned champions of the 2025/26 FKF Premier League, claiming their record-extending 22nd Kenyan top-flight title with a five-point margin over arch-rivals AFC Leopards in a season that tested the club's resolve from first whistle to last.
How the Title Was Secured
The championship was confirmed through the failure of AFC Leopards, whose defeat at the hands of APS Bomet mathematically eliminated Ingwe from the title race. Finishing on 69 points from 34 matches, Gor Mahia ended the 2025/26 campaign five points clear of AFC Leopards on 64 points. Kenya Police FC claimed third position on 55 points.
A Record That Keeps Growing
The 22nd league title adds another chapter to a story of domestic football dominance stretching back more than five decades. Gor Mahia won their first Kenyan championship in 1968. Their nearest rivals in total title count are AFC Leopards with 13 championships.
Prize Money and a Continental Stage
As FKF Premier League champions, Gor Mahia collect KSh 15 million in prize money and earn direct qualification for the CAF Champions League, Africa's premier club competition.
