DCI Opens Probe Into Violence and Armed Goons in Ol Kalou By-Election
Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations has opened a formal inquiry into violence reported during the Ol Kalou by-election, saying detectives will pursue every credible lead.
Investigators plan to combine forensic work, digital material and witness interviews to identify and arrest those responsible for intimidation or attacks around the vote.

Public reports from Nyandarua described hooded groups, injuries and claims that security failed to protect voters and agents. The DCI says the case will not be limited to street-level actors if evidence points higher.
Interior and police leadership have separately warned that anyone found culpable will face arrest. Rights groups have also asked for accountability where officers allegedly stood by.
