Wanjiku Njeri, 38, grew up in Nyeri County, where community barazas and local radio first showed her how public decisions shape everyday life. She moved to Nairobi for university and never left the newsroom trail.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Media Studies and a Master of Arts in Political Communication from the University of Nairobi. After graduating she reported on county assemblies and later joined national political desks, covering campaigns, legislation and the machinery of devolution.
