How to Check NSSF Contributions and Download Your Statement in Kenya (2026)
Key points
- Check contributions on official NSSF channels: USSD *303#, selfservice.nssf.or.ke, WhatsApp 0704 303 303, or email.
- Compare the statement with payslip deductions. Missing employer remittances should be raised early.
- Voluntary top-ups: NSSF publishes M-Pesa Paybill 333300 with the full membership number as account.
- If the portal rejects you: visit a branch with original ID for activation / recertification. There is no legitimate “instant NSSF WhatsApp officer”.

- Dial *303#.
- Choose Member Services.
- Enter NSSF number or National ID as the menu asks.
- Read the SMS. It is a snapshot, not a full PDF history.
Full statement (portal)
- Open selfservice.nssf.or.ke.
- New members: Member Registration. Existing members: activation / e-certification as the page describes (PIN key from a branch may be required).
- Download the contributions statement for the period you need.
NSSF also tells members they can request a copy by emailing [email protected] with full name and ID.
If it goes wrong
- Forgot password: Recover credentials on the member-resources page (account must already be activated).
- Employer deducted but NSSF is empty: keep payslips; raise it with HR and the nearest NSSF branch.
- No membership number: NSSF says visit the nearest branch; *303# also has a “check your NSSF number” path.
